In 2020, Dan Hnatkovskyy and Sofia Vyshnevska had a big idea: to make buying new construction homes easier. They started Jome, a marketplace platform, and it quickly took off. Now, it helps homebuyers in 16 markets across Texas, Florida, Georgia, Arizona, Colorado, and North and South Carolinas.
The hard work paid off. In 2020, they became part of Techstars Austin.
In 2022, Fuel teamed up with Jome. With Fuel’s solid financial model and detailed reports, Jome successfully raised $5.5 million in their Seed round and then – a $9.8 million Series A in 2024. And our story goes on.
Before partnering with Fuel, Jome co-founders were doing everything themselves, from creating financial models for investors to managing day-to-day operations. They were stuck using basic Excel sheets, which wasn’t cutting it.
Their financial data was scattered, lacking a centralized source and proper financial reporting. Plus, there was no one in the team dedicated to finance. It was hard to see the big picture.
Also, Jome’s business model was complicated. Without the right tools and expertise, they couldn’t fully understand their financial health or performance in various markets.
Custom modeling, unified data pipes, market-level reporting, plan‑vs‑actuals, and an all‑in‑one dashboard formed a single, reliable finance spine.

Investor-ready financials, clear visibility into runway and contracts, smoother closes, and confident, focus-on-growth decisions followed.
Initially, Jome needed a financial model to attract investors and secure funding. After partnering with Fuel, Jome raised a $5.5 million Seed round and then — a $9.8 million Series A in 2024.
With a custom financial setup for all 16 markets, Jome was able to make data-driven decisions which led to revenue growth and better resource allocation.
Jome founders got the clarity of their runway, market performance, and contract profitability. Better budget allocation became possible through scenario planning and modeling.
The team now uses a monthly dashboard and values regular FP&A manager check-ins to understand all performance metrics. They have confidence in their financial planning and can focus on strategic growth.
